Jesus Is Real

Jesus Is Real

Jesus is true. He is the only Truth. Without Him, there is no hope. I think we can agree that this world is in desperate need of change; humans and our actions are truly awful. People hate, murder, lie, people hurt others just to get our own way. All around us we can see humanity’s desperate cry for something better, a better way, a better life, a Savior. Even the earth groans with natural disasters for our Savior.

If there were no Savior, then there would be no hope; if there is no hope for something other than this life we live in a place filled with so much turmoil and pain then what is the purpose of life? If life’s purpose is to live a good life and make myself happy or to even live a good life serving other people’s happiness then why keep living when life is hard and we see so much pain in the world?

There is so much proof that Jesus actually existed:

Tacitus was a Roman historian who stated that “Nero fastened the guilt on a class hated for their abominations called Christians by the populace. Cristus (latin word for Christ), from whom the name had its origin, suffered the extreme penalty (the extreme penalty is crucifixion) during the reign of Tiberius, at the hands of Pontius Pilate. “

The Babylonian Talmud states that Jesus existed.

Josephus, a Jewish priest and now noted as a Jewish historian, mentions Jesus in his writings “Jewish Antiquities” as a person who lived and was a brother to James.

Mara bar Serapion also mentions Jesus while writing a letter describing the awful treatment of “three wise men: Socrates, Pythagorus, and the wise King of the Jews”.

Jesus never spread fear and hate. He was known to be a healer and a wise man - this stated from the writings of the previously mentioned historians that didn’t believe He is God. They believed He was just a man yet they stated that He was a good man who performed healings and wonderful things. Jesus provides peace that passes all understanding. There are articles that state one of the reasons why Jesus can be hard to prove for some is because He wasn’t on this earth as a mighty empirical warrior or some governmental leader requiring His face to be on coins. He spent His time with the marginalized, healing, loving, and teaching. He even stood up to many of what were considered the “religious elite” of the day, calling them out for their hatred. He said the second greatest commandment is to love one’s neighbor. Being second only to Loving God.
