Week 1 Day 1 Intro

I’m excited to start this next devotional series with you! I was praying about which series to start next and it was made pretty clear to me this weekend that we should study the women of the Bible. How fitting is that? We just finished up a series on what it looks like to be a daughter of the King, and now we get to study other daughters of the King! I think His plan is always perfect! 

As we dive into the scriptures I want you to read the stories like they are new to you! I know many of the women we will be studying about, you probably have known about since you started reading the Bible. But whether you know about them or not, I think we can all learn something new. I want to study each woman as if I was becoming her friend, learning her story. What would she tell me? What did she struggle with? What were her strengths?

It’s easy to read the Bible as a 2D version of the reality, but these were real people, real places, real events, real struggles. They dealt with sin, anxiety, depression, comparison, and many other weights just like we do today. I want to learn from these women. Join me, will you?
